Red Grape Green Tea Smoothie

red grapesRed grape green tea smoothies are a great drink for kids that are needing their ‘sugar fix’ but without the sugar. While this smoothie does not have any sugar in it, the sweetness of grapes and frozen bananas make for a great taste and nutritious pick me up. The added dab of honey adds that tangy sweet taste on top of the fruit, but it not needed to have a really great tasting and nutrient rich smoothie.

One cup of red grapes, a cup of smashed banana, and a cup of baby leaf spinach will provide you with 74% of your daily vitamin C needs,  provide 27% of the daily need for vitamin C and 31% of the daily recommended amount of dietary fiber a person needs to be healthy. It also provides Vitamin A, Calcium, potassium, iron, and much needed antioxidants to fight aging and cell damage from the abundance of free radical damage that occurs naturally in everyday life.

This smoothie will taste so good that your children will not even realize that they are drinking spinach in their drink. All said, this is one perfect way to energize and vitalize the health of your child… or the child within (you).
